250-Watt Equivalent LED Light Bulb

LED HID replacement bulbs are the energy efficient, environmentally friendly and safest way to upgrade existing HID bulbs to energy efficient LED lighting technology. Using only 54-Watt each, 1 of these LED HID replacement lamps produces 7020 Lumens, which is equivalent to a 250-Watt HID lamp. Rated to last for 50,000-hours and suitable for use indoors, outdoors and in enclosed fixtures. These lamps are equipped with a medium (E26) base, but also include a socket base adaptor to convert the E26 base to EX39 base, which means these LED HID lamps will fit most HID lamp sockets.

The bulb has a large surface area with 360 LED chips. This produces around 7,500 Lumens of light. It uses 50 Watts of electricity. This is 1/2amp on a 120 volt circuit. Leaving the bulb on for 3 hours per day will cost about $6 per year to run. Do not use a light dimmer with this bulb. It can be used with normal 110 volt up to 277 volt systems. It came with an adapter for E39 fixtures that are common in higher voltage systems. Do not use in conditions at or below -4 degrees Fahrenheit (-20 degrees C). The light is suitable for Damp (I assume not under water) locations. The bulb does generate heat. In a 70 degree room, the surface temperature of the illuminating surface reached and stayed steady at slightly over 150 degrees. Because of this, I would suggest that the bulb is not completely enclosed in a fixture but has a chance at breeze over the radiator fins on the back of the light. As I was examining the light bulb, if found that the electrical, spiral silver ring on the base was able to rotate like it was not properly secured. The Screw base adapter E39 would not tighten to the light as the spiral ring was slipping.
